I think I'm probably almost done

joiedecombatThe anime binge continues with a revisitation of Blood+, during which I am reminded of how much I like Hagi. Which is a bit difficult to explain because his whole personality is pretty much his obsessive devotion to Saya... but then again, maybe I should have put "obsessive, self-sacrificing devotion" on that list of things that make me "moe." Along with "emotional repression." Aw, punkin.
In the process I've also looked into the manga, most notably "Blood+: City of Nightwalkers," a single-volume prequel manga about Hagi's adventures in Hong Kong. Unexpectedly, it's kind of slashy. And by "kind of" I mean "very," and by "very" I mean "wow."
I think I ship them now.
Which is really funny, because see above about Hagi's entire personality being 'saya saya saya,' but on the other hand, it's not like he doesn't have about thirty years to kill following the end of the anime, and there's nothing to say that between leaving roses at the Miyagusuku family tomb he couldn't visit Hong Kong and wander in and out of Nishi's apartment like a stray cat who's been fed there once too often... I may possibly have to write this as a fanfic.
