I have been tagged by
funwithrage's mutant retromeme. If tagged, list five songs you are currently digging on, then tag five other people.
Incidentally,
funwithrage, "Rasputin" is by Boney M.
1) Kenny Chesney, "Anything But Mine"
In the midst of the music
I tell her I love her
And we both laugh
'Cause we know it isn't true
Ah, but Mary, there's a summer drawing to an end tonight
And there's so much that I long to do to you
2) Matt Nathanson, "I Saw" (preferably the live, acoustic version)
And it's amazing
The look in your eyes
Like you could save me
but you won't even try
And you tell me again
How everything will be all right
3) John Cameron Mitchell, "Wicked Little Town"
If you have no other choice
you know you can follow my voice
Through the dark turns and noise of this wicked little town
4) Apocalyptica, "Nothing Else Matters"
Cello quartet cover of the Metallica song. Unf.
5) Weiss, "Tonight"
Only if angels are here
Then demons may be as well
The inside of everyone's heart is like that, black and white and blue
Only if love is here
Then pain may be as well
Tonight this world changes
Tonight
And because Izzy did it, five books/series thereof:
1) J.D. Robb's Eve Dallas series. Every last bit of it. Slightly improbable near-future murder mysteries featuring queen bitch cop Eve and Roarke the walking orgasm. Also the setting is just fun.
2) Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series, everything that was cool about the Anita Blake series back when it was cool instead of dumb.
3) Robin McKinley's Sunshine.
4) Nora Roberts' Night Tales, because why the hell not.
5) It doesn't strictly count as a book, but I am enjoying the recent run of the X-Men comic too.
I'm feeling generous, so I tag anyone on my friendslist who wants a meme. Here you go.
